Treatment Types
PRIMARY TREATMENT
Primary treatment is the removal of solids, suspended solids and hydrocarbons from produced wastewater via oily water separators and deoiling hydrocyclones.
SECONDARY TREATMENT
Secondary treatment utilizes filtration to further remove contaminants. Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and total suspend solids (TSS) removal occurs in varying systems based on water composition.
TERTIARY TREATMENT
Tertiary treatment is the polishing of wastewater and involves advanced filtration. Systems include carbon adsorption, membranes and multimedia filters designed to handle the highest concentrations of contaminants in produced water.
